at the Club
The new 10yard pistol is well under
way. It should be completed in early April.
We will schedule a work party to
finish it. The small range should handle 6 shooters at once.
If you have any suggestion on
how we should finish this off, come to the meetings with
your ideas. PS Storms blew off some of the
new roofing ing this range. If anyone has any
leftover
roofing taking up space, we could use it.

We are still trying to generate
cash for the new roofs on all three buildings. The new 10 yard
pistol range is near completion. It should
be ready by early spring.
Membership
Business Meetings ( Time
Meetings are on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month.
During the summer months we only meet on the
first Thursday in June,
July and August.
Gun
Range Safety issues:
We
are getting complaints from members on the range concerning common safety
practices.
It
seems some people don't understand, you never point a gun at another
shooter.
The
gun is expected to be pointed in a safe direction at all times, loaded or not.
If
you bring a guest they may observe only on the range. Due to new insurance
regulations they
Must be a member to shoot on the range. Any
variation of the guest rule must
be approved by the Range Safety Officer.
We are constantly
reminding members about not setting targets midrange.
I didn't know is not an excuse.
That rule is posted on
every bench, numerous posts, signs and last, but not least, on the back of your
membership card.
Please follow the
rules or you can be barred form the club permanently for such rule infractions.
Note: Some of are members are leaving
their trash on the range, please help us keep the range clean.
IF you ever have a
problem with another person on the range please put it in writing and mail
it to the club. If you can
attend a meeting, then this is an excellent place
to bring it to the officers attention.
We can't address a
problem on hear say and second hand information, put it in writing.
DNR Hunter Education Class
None scheduled at this time.
We will keep you posted.
Still
Board Shoots
Sunday Shoots are
finished for the summer. We will restart
in October.
Outlaw Shoots
every Friday night starting at
Coffee's free and great hot dogs for breakfast.
Factory Class
Max barrel length 40" min. choke size .680". No scopes,
iron sights only.
Outlaw Class, if you can carry it then shoot it. Outlaw shoots will vary depending on number of
participants. Now shooting
each Friday evening at
Distance is 63
feet. We are currently using Federal Top Gun #9 shells.
